Peview of wat to come

"I didn't LOL...but I smiled a little"

date: July 11, 2008

This movie was awful: there really wasn't a redeeming factor, in terms of quality. But for some reason, I enjoyed it. The story was like someone playing with action figures... but.with chips. I suppose that doesn't make it much different from Robot Chicken...in fact, it was better than a couple of segments I've seen. Keep learning, and you may just make a legitimately good, funny video yet.
Cheers.

The Pen is Mightier...

"Good message..."

date: April 2, 2008

though a little heavy-handed. Of course, given that you apparently needed to explain yourself, that might be appropriate for the target audience. Great animation though, and classy integration of music. If only more submitters on Newgrounds put that kind of thought and effort into their pieces. Good for you, that you're inspiring some.

100% Randomize

"Okay, but lots of room for improvement."

submission: 100% Randomize
date: January 23, 2008

Not a bad FBF, but it could stand to be longer, showcasing more "100% imagination work"; it seemed as if the credits had just ended by the time it was over. Also the song is the punk cover by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, from their album of Broadway covers, "Are a Drag".

Faith Fighter

"Another excellent game from molleindustria"

submission: Faith Fighter
date: January 23, 2008

Simple controls, a clever concept, and fun characters from more or less all the major religions. I especially appreciated the burning wreckage that the battle causes in the background - when deities (or, in fact, dogmas) clash, it is human beings who suffer the real damage. Which is, of course, kind of the point, as the victory screen shows.
Your decision to include a censored version is commendable. Muhammed's high voice kinda bothered me, though it's not like I know if his voice wasn't actually like that.
The music was excellent, and very fitting. I also loved the flying spaghetti monster, though why was he specifically floating around Jesus' level and not, say, the secret boss's?

Go, Go, Parody Rangers! 3

"much win"

date: October 2, 2007

Ahh, delicious parody rangers. My heart was especially warmed by the shark not only jumping, but saying "Suck my dick" (though shouldn't he have been singing that?). Also, Meat is teh win <3. And yay for Willie coming back!

Bunny DressUp

"Lacks sparkle, but a solid effort"

submission: Bunny DressUp
date: July 12, 2007

A decent flash, no glaring flaws, but the lack of experience shows as a lack of sparkle. It's always nice to see variety and diversity here, and your addition of the beak was a good touch; unfortunately it didn't look as good as the other options. Maybe a furry dress-up with more emphasis on the variety of species makeable, or even the gender? The little hats were a nice touch, but perhaps a greater variety of clothing (preppy, punk, hippie, sci fi, fantasy, uniforms, dominatrix, butch, femme, whatever) would also serve you well.
Thanks for your submission to the merciless web, and I hope to see more from you as you learn and grow as a creator!

Want a tube?

"Props, but not mad props."

submission: Want a tube?
date: July 12, 2007

Well, it wasn't hilarious. I mean, it's an old joke, and doesn't really gain anything from the retelling. But your animation is crisp, yet loose; your characters are intriguing; the universe you are telling stories in is one worth further exploration. I look forward to seeing more animations from you, but I hope that in future you do some better scripts.

P.S. I'm imagining these characters in a Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead sort of scenario now, and it's kinda awesome. Just a thought.

Author's Response:

Your PS is really interesting, i didn't know this Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead, and that's a nice thought that you have here.
Thx for the review ! ^^

Vagina Simulator v 1.0

"The Vagina...of Today! Roffle!"

date: April 24, 2007

This is more or less the perfect guide to the vagina. The music is perfect, the sense of humour is spot-on, and the facts are, for the most part, obvious enough in their casual disregard for reality to protect anyone from being misinformed.
Few gripes: i) I thought they were labia, not lablia?
ii) what were those little kidney-testicle things on either side of the hymen parts? They might benefit from being either labeled or omitted.
iii) I couldn't find the clitoris! D: ...Or is that a myth too?

I will also vote for your next project being a similar guide to the pen0rz.

Also, if you can draw/know someone who can draw, maybe v 2.0 could have little informative drawings of the vagina goblins, the treasure, the estrogen critters, etc.

Stellar work, and I can't wait to see more!

Project Stick 2nd Trailer

"Fun with grammar!"

date: March 14, 2007

You don't need a comma between 'the keyblade' and 'will always forgive you'. The keyblade...held you in YOUR arms? Like its own, not it's own. I'm not going to bore us all by noting all the grammar issues...is English not your first language? (I'm not being sarcastic.) If you'd like, I can proofread the script for you. Your animation is pretty slick, considering it's stickmen, and from what I can tell your story is interesting. I look forward to seeing the finished product, and if you want some help feel free to send me a note. Either way, good luck! =)

Author's Response:

Thanks.

No english is not my first language, lol.

FOTV Trailer

"Solid effort, but more is needed."

submission: FOTV Trailer
date: March 14, 2007

You may have a good plot (though it seems a little derivative; Airwolf anyone?) but your drawing skills are lacking. You have some neat animation tricks - the lineart jet rotating, some of the explosions, for example - which only make the quality of your art stand out more. Also, the clip of Hitler, while excellent at getting one's point across, is kinda incongruous with the rest of the animation.
I didn't blam it because of the quality though, I blammed it because it was a trailer. Submit only finished work, unless the finished work is itself a spoof trailer or something. Still, I recommend you either work hard on your drawing skills, find a way around them, or recruit someone from the forums with talent but no plot to work on.
Also I recommend subtitles? They can be optional if you prefer, but it's nice to offer the option.
